SEVEN YEARS LATER!
"I CANT BELIEVE THIS!" Rose screamed
"Well why not?" Pedro asked, calm and level headed.
"We've been together for SEVEN YEARS and NOW you're saying there are some things about me you 'like more in a friendly way'?!" Pedro looked at the ground a moment then back up once he heard the sniffle.
"Oh Rosey don't cry." He reached out a hand but she slaped it away.
"Dont touch me..." Her face was already streaked with tears. "just.... leave me alone for a while!" With that she ran off.
Later Rose was at the place she met Blithe at it, the same bench. It was autumn, the leaves a beautiful gold and red, ready to fall anyday now. She sat, her knees tucked up to her chest crying. A hand patted her hair as a body sat next to her. She tried to push the person away but they just shifted uncurling her then pulling her into a firm hug.
"Pedro, i said leave me alone!" She sobbed softly. The person chuckled, stroking her hair.
"I'm not Pedro, miss." The voice was light and whimsical, a boy. She pulled back to look at him and he let her keeping her at arms length. His hair was black and semi-long, falling in his blood red eyes, contacts she could see the outline of them, shorter in the back. He had a thrench coat on, unbuttoned to show off his 'Zombie Slayer' tee shirt. His pants, what she could see, were fake ripped on the thighs and alittle on the calves maybe. He smiled lightly wiping her tears. "What's a pretty girl like you crying for?" He asked gently. She sniffled, shoke her head and started sobbing again. He cooed softly pulling her close again gently stroking her hair. "There there, you dont have to tell me." She hic-cupped alittle her hands clentching into fists griping his shirt.
After some time she calmed down. He still stroked her hair lightly.
"Now, are you ok with telling me the story Pretty One?" She pulled back nodding moving off his lap and back on the bench.
"Well my boyfriend just broke up with me..."
"Had to be worse then that, no girl cries that much over one boy." She smiles a fraction and nods.
"We've been together seven years."
"And he just suddenly says 'there's things I've found in you that like in a more friendly way.'"
"The fuck?" He earned a half smile.
"Thats kinda what i said."
"You live with him?" She nods. "Ouch, that's gonna be tough..." She nods again her eyes tearing up. "Hey, hey no, come on. Calm down, you're too pretty to cry." She sniffles and nods. "Got any friends?"
"Well, I could ask Blithe..." The boy blinked.
"Blithe? Blithe Krall?" Rose looked at the boy.
"Yes...?" The boy smiles.
"Yo! She's my best sis!" The boy laughs. A slight blush creeps across Rose's face.
"How strange we never met. I dated her seven years ago." The boy nods.
"Yeah I heard about you! No wonder I thought I knew you!" She smiles alittle.
"How did I not meet you?" He looks sheepish sudenly.
"I dont really like meeting people." She giggled softly.
"I was the same way. I used to have this studder..."
"Yeah! She told me about that, said it was so cute but she liked hearing you talk normal too." She blushed looking away. "Oh shit she was right!" Rose jumped alittle at his raised volume.
"A-about what?" He smiles more.
"One, you're studder is cute," She flushed again. "And two, you're cute when you blush." He gently pinches her cheak as her whole face turned a bright red.
"A-am not!" He laughed alittle before standing.
"It's geting about time for her to wake up Pretty One. Go to Blithe's, she'll be more then happy to take you in for a time." With that he left, his trench coat flaping in the new breeze. She watched him leave a smile on her face.
Later, around noon, Blithe was woken by her door bell ringing. She rolled of her couch groaning and fixing her shirt. Opening the door without thinking she grumbled to the person on the other side.
"Wadda ya want." She slurred still half asleep. Her red hair need to be re-dyed and her 'i'm the princess, let me sleep' tank was crumpled along with her sleep shorts.
"Oh, I'm sorry did i wake you?" Blithe blinked clearing the sleep from her eyes and looking at the person finally. Rose stode smiling wearing her hair back in a very loose and slopy ponytail, a light jacket, a 'Keep Calm and Continue Testing' Portal shirt, and jeans.
"Rose? What ya doing here? you dont visit often."
"What are you." She corected as Blithe rolled her eyes and muttered 'grammar naiz's girl'. "I need a place to stay.... for i'm not sure how long... I need to find a new home..." Blithe looked at her then moved aside gesturing her in. Rose smiled and entered sitting on the couch.
"What happened?" Rose sighed and explained it all to her.
"I'm gonna brake his pretty little face..." Blithe was standing and popping her knuckles.
"NO!" Rose grabed her arm pulling her back down to the couch. "It's fine... I thought it would happen sooner though..." Blithe looked at her.
"Why!" She said exasperated.
"I'm not his type... never have been." Blithe just looked at her. "What?"
"Honey, if someone says 'you're not their type' they're stupid and dont know what they're missing." Rose looked at her. "You are perfect for almost anyone! You are so easy to compramise and adjust to fit someone's needs. Anyone who gets you is extremly lucky." Rose smiled alittle.
"I'm not that special."
"Oh but you are!" Blithe then pulled Rose into one of her rare hugs. Rose happily hugged back burying her face in the crook of Blithe's sholder. Blithe smiled and gently stroked her hair singing very softly. After a while Rose pulled back smiling.
"I met a boy at the park."
"Oh ho! You move quick!" Blithe smirked as Rose flushed.
"Not like that! I was crying and he just came over, pulled me into his lap, hugged me, and helped me calm down." Blithe blinked looking at her.
"Kinda longish hair, green eyes?"
"Red, he had contacts in." Blithe smiled
"Onyx Nightshade! He was at the park? He hates meeting people." Rose nodded.
"He told me that." Blithe smiled at her.
"He's cute aint he?" Rose blushed more.
"BLITHE!" She then gently pushed her off the couch. Blithe smiled and stode up walking to the landry room.
"You think he is. I can see it. He's a nice guy, some strange notions but nice." Rose looked after her.
"Yeah, like... He says he's never getting married. When i asked why he said 'all the girls around here are eather too princess-y or too tom-boy.' particularlly..." Rose smiled giggling alittle.
"Well you're not the most feminan." Blithe looked at Rose sharply, growling slightly then rolled her eyes and started folding her clothes in the dryer. Rose smiled some. "Anyway, how did you meet him if he doesn't like meeting people?" Blithe smiled.
"He was wandering around the skate park looking kinda lost, so I went over and asked to show him around. I know how it feels to be the new kid in town." Rose nodded. "I showed him around and talked to him for a while. We became quick friends. Now this was a few weeks after you left me for Mr. Perfect." She gave Rose an 'i warned you' look as she smiled sheepishly. "So I told him mostly about you, my 'sister'. He quickly caught on to what my real feelings were towards you and later our real relationship." Rose nodded politely. "I told him he should meet you but he refused. He told me he saw you around a few times, or what he thought might be you. You cut your hair alittle shorter then normal one time so he was alittle confused." Rose smiled pushing her hair back out of her face, it had grown longer since then, it needed cuting again, perhaps a lot shorter this time. Blithe was talking again. "He told me how i discribed you almost perfectly, and how you were just as pretty as he imagened." Rose blushed slightly. "I think he has feelings for you, and who in their right mind wouldn't." Blithe patted her head as she blushed more.
"Do you really think he has feelings for me? You sure it's not just friendly or brotherly?" Blithe looked at her like she was talking guberish for a moment then sighed.
"You never could believe when people told you how others felt about you." She ruffled Rose's hair alittle before walking into her room. "He might even be in love with you at this point. You can sleep in my room. I'll sleep on the couch, as I normally d-" She stopped sudenly as a body hit her in the back making her stumble. She looked down to the arms wrapped firmly around her waist then over her shoulder to Rose burying her face in her back. Sighing she losened Rose's grip on her and turned to hug her. "Fine, we can share the bed like old times." Rose relaxed alittle hugging her more normally and less desprate. She knew she needed someone, she would have less of a chance to break down if she had someone to hold. Blithe patted her back gently. Letting go she started to walk to her room.
"I'll let you barrow some of my shorts for the night till you go to get your stuff. Sound good?" She looked back to see Rose nod. Rose took her hair down as she walked, it fell smoothly to her mid-back, only slightly messy from the ponytail and haste in puting it up. They got to Blithe's room and she tossed Rose an pair of shorts which she quickly changed into before crawling into the bed by the wall. She laid waiting for Blithe who turned the light off and crawled in next to her. Rose curled up to Blithe almost instantly and she chuckled holding her close as they drifted to sleep together.
